Baby Shark Party! Doo Doo Doo!

I have been M.I.A. for awhile now, and it’s all thanks to this party. The only interest Little Man has right now, is baby shark. The Super Simple version, not Pink Fong; my kid is very picky, haha. Anyway, it made sense for this to be his birthday theme. I had so many ideas of what I wanted to do, but my biggest project was to scrapbook all the photos I took this year. This took forever; me and my bright ideas! Every spare moment I had, was used to scrapbook all the pictures.  This unfortunately meant there was no time for the blog. I realize that I could have made time, but I had to prioritize, and my Little Man will always come first!

In case you’re wondering, I did finish the albums in time; two huge binders! Now I only needed to figure out the food, decorations, invitations, guest list, and everything else to be done for the party! Thankfully, it all came together in the end, as you will see below! Welcome to our baby shark party!

Decorations

A quick google search found me all the images I needed for the door, with the exception of the one labeled, “sharks ahead.” That, I created in Word using a couple of google images, a background, and a font titled, “chiller.”

The coral for Little Man's baby shark party!

I had a lot of fun with the decorations! The coral that you see here, and will see in a couple other pictures, was made with spray insulation foam. I layed wax paper on our garage floor, and sprayed the foam into the shapes that you see pictured. Then, I painted them with acrylic paints. I think they turned out really well!

In this picture, you can also see the plastic tablecloths that I hung in the entrances of each room. To hang them, I used the really small command hooks, and tied string around the tablecloths where I wanted them to hang; really easy!

The door and balloon decorations for Little Man's baby shark party!

I saw the bubble balloon idea on pinterest, but couldn’t find a tutorial for them, so I took my best guess at how they were constructed! I blew up three balloons, all different sizes, and then tied the bottom two together with string. To connect the top balloon, I used a few glue dots, and was then able to tie a piece of string around the knot of the balloon to hang it from the ceiling (also using the really tiny command hooks).

The window decorations for Little Man's baby shark party!

On my windows, I printed out fish from the Super Simple website, and taped them onto the blue twisted crepe paper.

The wall decorations for Little Man's baby shark party!

I made the sharks myself, but the net adds a lot! I saw the net idea on pinterest and knew that I had to incorporate it somehow!

The fireplace decorations for Little Man's baby shark party!

Here is the rest of the coral that I mentioned earlier! Baby shark has a place of honor right in the middle! The fireplace is decorated similar to my windows, using crepe paper and printed fish. Like the baby gate? I have to keep little man out somehow, especially if I ever want to use my fireplace! Below are a couple of close up pictures.

The high chair decorations for Little Man's baby shark party!

All of this was served to little man in his very own shark chair! Do those look like shark teeth?! That’s what I was going for!

All of the signs for the food, the party invitations, and a few of the other baby shark things you might have seen around, came from etsy. It was a great party! I was very happy with the way all of the decorations turned out! Hopefully, I have given you some ideas for your baby shark party! Doo doo doo!
